AutoPortal has compiled a list of cars that have long been out of production, but until recently were still on sale (or are still on sale to this day).

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Mercedes introduced the SLS AMG in 2009, and this car was produced until 2014. However, a few months ago, the company still managed to sell two such brand-new supercars in America (that is, it turns out they had been sitting in a warehouse or showroom for at least six years). And interestingly, from 2016 to 2020, not a single unit was sold. But in 2015, 29 units were sold.

Mercedes-Benz B-Class

The old Mercedes B-Class – second generation (W246) – was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2018. Nevertheless, in 2019, eight such cars were sold, and last year – one unit.

Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class

In 2011, Mercedes sold the entire batch of the second-generation SLK (in the cover photo), except for one car – a 2006 model year. To this day (for 15 years now), the roadster has been sitting idle at one of the Moldovan dealers.

Honda CR-Z

The Honda CR-Z sports car has not been produced for four years. However, last year, Honda still sold one CR-Z. And allegedly, it was not the last remaining unit.

Dodge Viper

The Dodge Viper was retired in August 2017, and at that time, the manufacturer stated that it had sold the entire batch of the model. But, as it turned out, that was not the case. In 2018, Dodge sold 19 Vipers, in 2019 – five more, and finally, last year – the remaining four units.

Dodge Dart

The Dodge Dart has not been produced since 2016, but new units can still be found on sale today. Probably, buyers got a big discount on this far from attractive model, since last year, as many as seven units were unexpectedly sold.

Jeep Patriot

In 2020, Americans also bought three new Jeep Patriots, which has not been produced since December 2016.
