Production of the model at the plant in the Italian city of Melfi will end by the end of 2025 — the last examples of the series will roll off the assembly line then. The information about the discontinuation was published by the German publication Auto, Motor und Sport.

In North America, the Jeep Renegade disappeared from the market back in 2023, when its production in the USA was completely stopped. Over the entire existence of the model, about 2 million units were produced worldwide.

Despite this, demand for the Renegade has noticeably dropped. During the peak period of 2016–2018, annual sales were approximately 100 thousand cars in the USA and 70–80 thousand in Europe, while in the first six months of 2025, only 6,938 cars were sold in the EU countries.

The reasons for such a decline are obvious: the car has long ceased to meet modern requirements — the model debuted back in 2014, and its model range has been significantly reduced in recent years. In particular, diesel versions and the Trailhawk SUV, designed for extreme conditions, have disappeared from sale.

In addition, a new competitor has appeared on the market — the Jeep Avenger. This model is smaller in size, has a more attractive price, modern design, and is available with electric powertrains. It is the Avenger that is now taking over the role of the brand's junior car in Europe, finally pushing the Renegade out of the market.
