This means that the collection dynamics continues to grow actively. After all, last year during the same period, the network collected 42.5 tons of items.
«We are grateful to everyone who joins our company's project, because if we maintain this pace, it will allow us to provide clothes and shoes to even more people in need, - says the head of the corporate communications department at OKKO, Yaroslava Polyakova. - Lviv traditionally remains the leader in collecting used items, but it is pleasant to see that other regions are gradually increasing their volumes. I am sure that after the quarantine, and now we can all sort through our things, the volumes will increase significantly».

For the eighth year in a row, the OKKO network has been installing special containers at its gas stations, where every customer, while stopping for fuel, can leave used clothing, shoes, bed linen, and other items. As of the beginning of 2020, such containers are installed at 23 gas stations in 6 cities - Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Mariupol. All gas station addresses can be viewed here.
The project is implemented in cooperation with volunteer organizations that collect used items from gas stations, sort them, and distribute them free of charge to those in need. Currently, OKKO's partners include organizations such as «Emaus-Oselia», «Ukraine without Borders», «Good Samaritan», and «We Help». The main recipients of this assistance are homeless people, internally displaced persons, residents of orphanages, geriatric institutions, hospice patients, etc.
