According to German experts, Jeep Renegate, Fiat 500X and Fiat Doblo vehicles with the two-liter Multijet II diesel engine are equipped with a special algorithm that, during the first 22 minutes of engine operation, prevents the correct determination of CO emission levels.
The FCA corporation rejects the claims, emphasizing that it does not use any additional software solutions in its products. If German experts manage to confirm the fact of distortion of measurement results, the automaker will have to organize a massive recall campaign for diesel versions.
