Like the coupe shown in March at the Geneva Motor Show, the roadster was prepared for the centenary of the birth of the founder of the Italian brand, Ferruccio Lamborghini. The new model debuted at the Monterey Car Week auto show in California.

The Centenario Roadster, built around a carbon fiber monocoque, weighs 1,570 kilograms — 50 kilograms heavier than the coupe. Body panels and aerodynamic body kit are also made of carbon fiber. It includes an active rear wing that can rise by 150 millimeters and change its angle of attack by 15 degrees depending on specific driving conditions.

The roadster, like the coupe, received all-wheel steering. At low speeds, the rear wheels turn at a slight angle in the opposite direction to the front wheels, providing better maneuverability and reducing the turning radius. At high speeds, all wheels turn in the same direction.

The Lamborghini Centenario Roadster is equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 770 horsepower. The roadster can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds — 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe. The top speed exceeds 350 kilometers per hour.
