In Michigan, the price of gasoline has dropped to a record low — almost 12 cents per liter. In the US, fuel is traditionally measured in gallons, which is approximately 3.8 liters. A gallon in this state costs only 47 cents, and this is the lowest figure in the country over the past decade.

Fuel prices vary noticeably across different states. In most regions, a gallon costs about 95 cents, but there are exceptions — for example, in California, the price reaches $2.77. Nevertheless, even such rates are considered among the lowest in recent years.

The cheaper fuel is linked to the collapse in oil quotes, which occurred due to the lifting of sanctions against Iran and concerns about a slowdown in China's economy.
