A worn-out "four" VAZ, which has seen many roads in its lifetime, turned out to be a quite suitable platform for placing a massive gas generator and a decent supply of firewood for it. The master spent six months constructing the unit itself. Now all that remains is to legalize the installation with the traffic police, after which it will be possible to start the planned auto rally across Ukraine.

Sergey Lagunov has already prepared a documentary film about how to make a gas generator yourself, and also plans to shoot a second film dedicated to a trip across Ukraine in a car running exclusively on wood. Both works will be publicly available so that anyone can understand how, with costs of only $200, to assemble such a device and refuse to buy expensive gasoline.

At the same time, the master himself admits that there are certain nuances in using such an installation. The car consumes about 20 kilograms of firewood per 100 kilometers, but the fuel supply in the generator tank is only designed for 60–100 kilometers of travel. Therefore, one has to stop quite often for "refueling," and the frequency of such stops largely depends on the terrain through which the route passes.

At the initial stage, the inventor, together with his partner — a design engineer who participated in the development of the gas generator — intends to visit nearby cities: Mariupol, Kostiantynivka, Horlivka, and Kramatorsk. It is there that their development arouses the greatest interest.
