The model is built on the platform of the GLC crossover (successor to the GLK). In terms of its dimensions, the Mercedes GLC Coupe is slightly longer and lower than its Bavarian rival BMW X4.
Initially, the model will be sold with two diesel engines GLC 220 d and GLC 250 d with 170 hp and 204 hp, and one petrol turbo unit with 211 hp. Later, the hybrid modification 350 e and the "charged" AMG GLC 43 Coupe are planned.
All engines of the new Mercedes-Benz SUV are combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The standard version of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is equipped with a spring suspension. For an additional cost, a sports suspension with adjustable shock absorber stiffness is available.
