The official photos were released on the day of the Impreza 2017 premiere at the New York Auto Show.
The new Impreza is the first Subaru model in history to feature the modular SGP (Subaru Global Platform). According to the Japanese company, this platform will underpin all future models.
According to preliminary information, the new model is slightly longer and wider than its predecessor. The sedan will be equipped with a new two-liter boxer four-cylinder engine and, as usual, an all-wheel drive system. The specifications of the units are still kept secret, but it is assumed that the engine will feature a cylinder deactivation function under low loads.
It is also known that the new Impreza will get a collision avoidance system and advanced multimedia.
