The Mercedes EQB presented in Germany is intended for Europe and North America, and overall it repeats the version for the Chinese market, which debuted in spring 2021. It has the same dimensions (4684 x 1834 x 1667 mm, wheelbase – 2829 mm), interior (there are similar rose gold details, MBUX infotainment system), as well as equipment list (LED optics, wheels up to 20 inches, etc.). However, the specifications differ. So, if for China the crossover is produced only in one 292-horsepower all-wheel drive version, the global EQB will have as many as three versions.

Actually, this is the same EQB 350 4Matic with two electric motors with a total power of 292 hp, the dual-motor EQB 300 4Matic, but with slightly less output – 245 hp, as well as a single-motor (front-wheel drive) EQB 250, producing 190 hp.

So far, however, the characteristics of the all-wheel drive versions have been announced. Thus, the EQB 350 accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, the EQB 300 – 8 seconds. The maximum speed in both cases is 160 km/h. Batteries with a capacity of 66.2 kWh are enough for 419 km of range (declared range according to the WLTP cycle).

Like the GLB, the electric EQB can be not only 5-seat, but also 7-seat (the trunk volume varies from 465 to 1620 liters and from 495 to 1710 liters, respectively). True, the third row of seats is designed for passengers up to 165 cm tall.

The global Mercedes EQB will begin production at the brand's plant in Kecskemét, Hungary, at the end of 2021. First, the car will appear in Europe, a little later – in America. According to the MercedesBlog website, on the German market the car will cost from 53,000 euros.
