Actually, the Microlino was in development for quite a long time. Its prototype was shown in 2020, and now the production version has debuted. It is positioned as an improved car, which is why the index 2.0 was added to the name.

The Microlino is inspired by the legendary BMW Isetta, which was produced from 1955 to 1962. The Swiss electric car has the same proportions, silhouette, design touches, and even the characteristic door mounted in the front.

Compared to the 2018 modification, the new model has a changed exterior (especially the "stern" differs), a wider wheelbase, a refined suspension (soft), improved safety, improved visibility, and a neat interior with a new steering wheel and instrument panel. In addition, the developers slightly increased the height to make the car comfortable even for tall occupants.

The Microlino 2.0 is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 19 kW/26 hp, and the battery can be chosen from one of three – 6 kWh (range – 95 km), 10.5 kWh (175 km), and 14 kWh (230 km).
The unconventional electric car will go into production later this year. Micro Mobility noted that they have received 24 thousand orders for the Microlino 2.0, but the first batch will be limited to just 7.5 thousand units. First, customers from Switzerland and Germany will receive the new model.
