Recall that the Dacia Jogger is to become the ideological successor to the Logan MCV, which was produced in 2006-2012. It will be built on the CMF-B platform – the same chassis that underpins the Logan sedan and the third-generation Sandero hatchback (the latter, by the way, debuted in autumn 2020). A key feature of the Jogger should be a three-row cabin, although a 5-seat version will also be offered to buyers. In terms of form factor, however, it will not be a classic SUV, but a crossover-wagon.

So, if we believe the overseas colleagues who have drawn the supposed appearance of the car based on available data, the only official teaser-droplet and photos of masked test prototypes previously spotted on the roads, the Jogger will be very similar to the Sandero Stepway cross-hatch. It will share the front end with the latter up to the central pillar. However, since the new model will be significantly larger, it will get its own rear part – with an extended roofline (due to a longer wheelbase), additional side windows and a modified tail.

It is expected that the Dacia Jogger will get engines from the same Logan and Sandero: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with 65 hp, a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine with 90 hp, and a 1.0-liter 100-hp engine running on both petrol and gas. The drive, most likely, will be front-wheel only – its crossover nature will be ensured by a high ground clearance.

Perhaps the Dacia Jogger will also appear in Ukraine, but under the Renault brand. However, so far even the third-generation Logan and Sandero have not reached our country (second-generation models are still on sale).
