To earn the highest score in the moose test, it is necessary to show a result of at least 77 km/h. However, the Dacia Spring did not cope with this test right away. Let us remind you that the essence of the exercise is to drive around an obstacle that suddenly appears on the road at high speed.

The inexpensive crossover from Renault with a 45-horsepower motor in this test showed better results than many much more expensive electric cars. In particular, it turned out to be quicker than the Honda e electric car, which showed 75 km/h, and even outpaced the Tesla Model X with its 70 km/h. Higher results are only for the Porsche Taycan (78 km/h) and Tesla Model 3 (83 km/h).

The Dacia Spring is the European version of the electric Renault City K-ZE. Taking into account subsidies, its price on the European market reaches 7,700 euros. The maximum speed of the crossover is 125 km/h, and the declared range is 230 km according to the WLTP cycle.

By the way, shortly before that, another inexpensive Renault model, the new Sandero, passed the moose test. This car coped with the maneuver better than the fresh Volkswagen Golf 8.
