The presentation of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee was initially postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic: the premiere was planned for June as part of the Detroit Auto Show, but the event was canceled. The debut of the expected new product was moved to autumn, but according to Mopar Insiders, the show of the updated Grand Cherokee will take place only next year.
The new generation of the model will be created on the platform of the Italian crossover Alfa Romeo Stelvio. In the line of versions of the next Grand Cherokee, as before, modifications with V6 and V8 engines, as well as hybrid versions, will be presented.
The current generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee before the end of production will receive a special series 80th Anniversary Edition, but details about the final configuration of the SUV are not yet disclosed.
