The American publication MotorTrend reports that the Volvo XC100 Recharge will be built in a coupe body style and will feature a spacious four-seat interior. The flagship SUV will be based on the updated SPA 2 architecture, which is also used for the new generation XC90.

The Volvo XC100 Recharge will be available exclusively as an electric vehicle with all-wheel drive, with two electric motors, one on each axle. The equipment list will include a semi-autonomous driving function and advanced safety developments.

The premiere of the flagship crossover will take place no earlier than 2023. As analysts predict, the starting price of the Volvo XC100 Recharge will be $85,000.
