Now the Toyota GR Supra is available with two engines to choose from: in addition to the three-liter BMW B58 inline-six, the lineup has gained a 2.0 turbo engine, which in the US specification produces 259 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. At the same time, the senior unit has been updated and become more powerful: a new twin-scroll exhaust manifold and pistons, which reduced the compression ratio from 11.0:1 to 10.2:1, allowed output to increase from 340 to 387 horsepower (from 495 to 499 Nm). The eight-speed automatic has been retained and has not undergone any changes.

After the modifications, the GR Supra's acceleration time to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour) has been reduced by 0.2 seconds — to 3.9 seconds. The figure is calculated and has yet to be verified. The coupe with the base two-liter engine takes exactly five seconds to accelerate.

Additional aluminum struts connecting the front strut mounts to the radiator support, new rebound dampers, and recalibrated shock absorbers are designed to improve the balance of comfort and handling. At the same time, the programs of the electric power steering, adaptive chassis, stability control, and active rear differential have been rewritten — all this will make the Supra more stable in sequences of corners.

Finally, the GR Supra has gained another special version — the A91 Edition. Such a coupe is equipped only with the 3.0 engine and is available in two colors: Nocturnal and Refraction (reserved for the A91 Edition). Among the features are a carbon fiber spoiler and mirror caps made of the same material, matte black wheels, special graphics on the rear pillars, and Alcantara interior trim. The production run is one thousand cars.
