The second generation of the Chery Tiggo 7 almost exactly replicates the concept presented in November. At the same time, the standard crossover and the Pro version differ only in the patterns of the radiator grille. The interior is similar to the flagship Tiggo 8: the front panel has three screens — a virtual instrument panel with a 12.3-inch diagonal, a 10.5-inch multimedia touchscreen, and an eight-inch touch-sensitive climate control unit with two rotary knobs.

The base Tiggo 7 received a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 156 horsepower (torque — 230 Nm), paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The Pro version is equipped with a 1.6 TGDI turbocharged engine developing 197 horsepower (290 Nm), which is paired with a seven-speed preselective robotized gearbox. In both cases, the drive is only front-wheel drive.

The updated Chery Tiggo 7 should boost demand for the model in China. In 2017, 62,330 such cars were sold, but a year later sales fell to 27,744 units.
