Under this name, the American manufacturer produced a large SUV from 1966 to 1996, which survived five generations. The premiere of a new version of the model is expected in spring 2020.

According to available information, the new product will be built on the basis of the mid-size body-on-frame pickup Ranger and will borrow key components and units from it. Buyers will be offered options with two and four doors, as well as with the possibility of removing the roof and doors.

At the start of sales, the SUV will receive a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine with four cylinders, producing 270 horsepower and 420 N·m of torque. It will be paired with an automatic transmission or a seven-speed manual gearbox. In the future, the appearance of a hybrid version is not ruled out.

It is also expected that the new Bronco will be equipped with solid axles at the front and rear. Thanks to this, Ford's model range will include a car well adapted to difficult off-road conditions, which will be able to compete with the current Jeep Wrangler.
