The main premiere will be a small crossover, which in the model lineup will be positioned between the RAV4 and C-HR. This information was shared in a conversation with Motor Trend by the head of Toyota's American branch, Jack Hollis. As the company representative explained, the new model should become a replacement for the C-HR, which cannot be purchased with all-wheel drive in the American market.
"These cars can be in the same category but have different prices. Or one option is purely urban, and the second is prepared for off-road. It will be higher, wider, and noticeably more confident on dirt roads. Why shouldn't we produce two completely different cars in one segment?" said Hollis.
