Under the name Puma, from 1997 to 2002, Ford produced a small front-wheel-drive coupe for the European market.
There is not much information about the new model yet; the manufacturer only noted that the new Puma has a "best-in-class" luggage compartment with a volume of 456 liters. The crossover was created taking into account the opinions of potential buyers — for example, the trunk is designed to fit two golf bags in a vertical position.

The revived Puma will be offered with a powertrain operating on a "mild hybrid" scheme. The one-liter EcoBoost turbo engine works with a belt-driven starter-generator that can accumulate electrical energy obtained during braking or coasting. The system powers a 48-volt on-board network based on lithium-ion batteries. In total, the units produce 155 hp.
The official premiere of the new Ford Puma will take place this year. Production of the new model will be established at the Romanian plant in Craiova.
