Production of GLC, GLE, and GLS crossovers is planned to be launched soon. The new enterprise has a full production cycle — from body welding and painting to final assembly.
The plant is located in the Esipovo industrial park, covering an area of 85 hectares. It is situated 40 kilometers northwest of Moscow. The German concern's investment in production localization is estimated at approximately 230 million dollars.
It took less than two years to build the enterprise. The plant's design capacity is calculated for 20–25 thousand vehicles annually, and after reaching full capacity, about 1,000 jobs will be created here.
