In Skoda's off-road lineup, the Kamiq will take a place one step below the Karoq crossover. The new model is built on the MQB platform, which also underpins a number of models, from the new Volkswagen Polo to the Skoda Kodiaq crossover.
The Kamiq's design is in the style of the Vision X concept. The crossover features a wide radiator grille, a spoiler, C-shaped taillights, a diffuser, and LED headlights with daytime running lights positioned at the top and dynamic turn signals. The model boasts a high ground clearance (37 mm more than the Scala hatchback). Several wheel options are available, ranging from 16 to 18 inches in diameter.

Inside, the Skoda Kamiq features a 10.25-inch virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen media center ranging from 6.5 to 9.2 inches. The model introduces a surface with a texture imitating crystalline structures and various upholstery options, including a new microfiber covering. This interior design will be characteristic of all future models from the Czech brand. The trunk volume is 400 liters.
The Kamiq's engine lineup includes a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSI engine producing 95 hp and 175 Nm of torque. The engine works with a 5-speed manual transmission. Customers will also be offered the same engine but with 115 hp and 200 Nm of torque. This unit is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Optionally, a 7-speed automatic will be offered.

Top versions of the Kamiq will be offered with a 1.5 TSI engine. The unit's power is 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. To save fuel, the driver has access to the Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) system, which automatically deactivates two cylinders under light load. This engine is combined with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG automatic.
Additionally, the crossover can be equipped with a four-cylinder 1.6-liter diesel engine. The unit's output is 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque. A gas version of the Kamiq will also be available with a 1.0-liter G-Tec engine (90 hp) and a six-speed manual.

For an extra charge, the Skoda Kamiq can be equipped with additional underbody protection. Customers will also be offered a sport suspension with electronically controlled dampers. The driver has access to adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, a parking assistance system, a lane-keeping assist system, an emergency braking function, a pedestrian recognition system, and a driver fatigue monitoring function. Additionally, the crossover features a Wi-Fi hotspot and a navigation system.
