The Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered Concept received a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine developing 200 horsepower, which is complemented by an electric motor with an output of 108 hp. Another electric unit is placed on the rear axle, its power is 204 hp. The total output of this hybrid system exceeds 500 hp, but because all components cannot simultaneously operate at the limit of their capabilities, the final performance of the installation is estimated at about 400 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

From zero to hundred this concept accelerates in 4.3 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited electronically to 250 km/h. The range exclusively on electricity reaches 50 kilometers — this became possible thanks to batteries with a capacity of 11.8 kWh.

From the standard sedan, the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered Concept differs in a different front bumper, modified fenders, carbon fiber exterior mirror housings, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels and a widened track.

In the interior, which is trimmed with Alcantara and carbon fiber, sports seats with enhanced lateral support are installed, a fully digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch display and a multimedia system with a 10-inch screen.

It is expected that the production version of the concept will appear no earlier than 2020. At the same time, the power of the hybrid powertrain in the production model will be limited to 350 hp.
