Unlike its predecessor, the new Evoque will be produced exclusively with a five-door body. The model retains the previous dimensions and overall styling with a sloping roof, high beltline, and flared wheel arches. A distinctive feature of the new model is the retractable door handles in the style of the senior Velar, as well as fully LED matrix headlights and taillights.

The crossover is based on the new Premium Transverse Architecture platform, which allows for a hybrid powertrain based on a 48-volt onboard network.

The engine range includes three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines of the Ingenium family with power from 150 to 249 hp. In addition, the "second" Evoque will have two hybrid versions. The first is a 300-horsepower MHEV with a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. The second is a PHEV, which is equipped with the latest three-cylinder turbo engine paired with an electric motor and has the ability to recharge the traction battery from the mains.

All modifications of the crossover are equipped with a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission and second-generation Active Driveline all-wheel drive with the Driveline Disconnect function. The system, based on an electronically controlled clutch, automatically redistributes torque between the axles, and the Driveline Disconnect function allows you to completely disconnect the rear axle and send up to 100% of torque to the front wheels. This technology reduces mechanical losses in the transmission and improves fuel efficiency in driving modes where all-wheel drive is not needed.
In addition, the new Evoque is available with the Terrain Response 2 system, previously debuted on the flagship Range Rover, which automatically recognizes the type of surface under the wheels and activates the corresponding vehicle settings.
