The engine lineup will consist of a two-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. The dynamic characteristics of the new Soul have not yet been disclosed.
In addition to the standard version of the Soul, Kia will present the X-Line variant with an off-road package. In Los Angeles, the GT Line modification and a fully electric model will also be shown. Most likely, the electric car will receive a battery pack with a capacity of 39 kWh. The powertrain will be borrowed from another electric vehicle — the e-Niro. Thanks to this, the range of the electric Soul will increase to 225 km.
The new Soul will retain its characteristic angular body shape and will resemble the Trail’ster concept car presented in 2015 at the Chicago Auto Show. The crossover will be built on a new platform that provides for the use of an all-wheel drive system, so it is possible that the crossover will have a modification with four driven wheels.
