Earlier there were rumors that the new car would be called Scrambler, but the manufacturer settled on the name Gladiator — that was the name of a large Jeep pickup from 1962 to 1988. The last time this designation was used was in 2005 for a concept truck (pictured) shown in Chicago at an auto show.

According to preliminary data, the Gladiator will be presented at the end of November at an exhibition in Los Angeles, and production of the serial version will start in 2019.
