The published image shows LED optics and a modified radiator grille. Apparently, the car's design will be similar to the hatchback of the same model, which was shown in March at an exhibition in New York.
The next-generation sedan will be built on the TNGA architecture, already used for the Prius and C-HR. The body will likely become longer than the current version. Technical details are not yet disclosed. According to unconfirmed data, under the hood will be a two-liter gasoline engine with 170 horsepower. A hybrid version is also possible, where a 1.8-liter gasoline engine will be supplemented by an electric motor.
The public debut of the new Toyota Corolla sedan is scheduled for November 16 at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Sales are expected to start immediately after the presentation.
