An advanced decentralized servo drive system will allow controlling each wheel individually and precisely adjusting shock absorber stiffness depending on the road situation.
The system called E-Active Body Control is a more advanced version of the Magic Body Control suspension known from the S-Class. It consists of hydraulic accumulators installed on each strut and powerful servo drives that constantly adjust the degree of compression and rebound. Thanks to this implementation, Mercedes-Benz was able to completely abandon anti-roll bars.
Another feature of the new GLE will be the Curve Control system, originally developed for the SL-Class. In corners, it counteracts body roll by tilting the body not outward but into the turn.
In addition to E-Active Body Control, the new-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE will be equipped with a basic passive suspension with steel springs and air springs with adaptive shock absorbers.

In July, Mercedes-Benz showed the interior of the next-generation GLE. The car was demonstrated to journalists at the brand's main design studio in Sindelfingen. The SUV will get two 12.3-inch displays under a single glass cover, a three-spoke steering wheel in the style of the new S-Class with touch panels, a new touchpad for the multimedia system, and the MBUX interface.
