The model received a number of stylistic changes, two new engines, and an improved multimedia system.
Externally, the car can be distinguished from the pre-restyling model thanks to modernized headlights, a different front bumper, and a slightly modified radiator grille. At the rear, new lights with signature red X-elements appeared.

The crossover will be available with LED headlights, fog lights, and daytime running lights. The company noted that using optics with LED elements in the dark increases visibility by about 50% compared to standard halogen headlights.
The engine lineup of the restyled model included new turbocharged petrol units. The base became a three-cylinder engine with a displacement of one liter, developing 120 hp and 190 Nm of torque.

In addition, two 1.3-liter turbo four-cylinder engines with 150 and 180 horsepower became available (torque in both cases — 270 Nm). Finally, the Renegade will be offered with modernized diesel engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. Transmissions — six-speed manual, robotic gearbox with two clutches, or nine-speed automatic.
In the cabin, a modified center console with a built-in smartphone holder appeared, as well as an additional USB port. In addition, an improved Uconnect infotainment system with a 7 or 8.4-inch display became available.
European sales of the updated Jeep Renegade will begin in September, and in other markets the crossover should appear before the end of 2018.
