In the first image of the pickup published a few days ago, it was labeled as Musso, but after the model's presentation in Korea, it turned out that they decided to abandon the original name. The new designation for the pickup was not chosen by chance and emphasizes that the model is based on the new generation Rexton SUV.

Despite the external and internal similarity, the pickup significantly surpasses the co-platform model in dimensions. The length of the Rexton Sports is 5095 mm (+245), and the wheelbase has stretched to 3100 mm (+235). In addition, the pickup is 45 mm taller – 1870 mm.

As previously assumed, under the hood of the Rexton Sports is a 180-horsepower diesel engine with a volume of 2.2 liters. As a transmission, a six-speed manual or an Aisin automatic is offered. The drive can be either rear or all-wheel drive.

The European premiere of the SsangYong Rexton Sports pickup will take place in early spring at the Geneva Motor Show.
