In previous years, the Korean automaker, together with the Canadian company Bisimoto, focused on creating truly powerful show cars for the SEMA exhibition. This time, the emphasis has shifted towards fuel efficiency.
The HyperEconiq Ioniq prototype is based on the production Ioniq, and its main difference is a large aerodynamic body kit. The car also features 19-inch carbon wheels, a different Bisimoto Pulse-Chamber exhaust system, upgraded brakes, and suspension.
As a result, the average fuel consumption of the Hyundai HyperEconiq Ioniq reaches 2.83 l/100 km. This is about one and a half liters less than the original hybrid version.
The creators promise to reveal more detailed technical specifications just before the debut in Las Vegas.
