The crossover's exterior fully matches the company's corporate style, but is undoubtedly quite original. The Citroen C5 Aircross is built on the EMP2 platform, which also underpins the new Peugeot 3008. The model is 4.5 meters long, 1.84 meters wide, and 1.67 meters high. The wheelbase stretches to 2.73 meters. The trunk volume is 482 liters.

The main advantage of the C5 Aircross is the Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension, which features dual hydraulic bump stops (separate for compression and rebound) and gives the crossover excellent ride smoothness, comparable to "flying on a magic carpet."

The interior of the model boasts patterned seats with a massage function, as well as a fully digital instrument panel and surround-view cameras. The C5 Aircross also offers a full range of safety systems, including active cruise control with automatic braking and lane keeping assist. The Grip Control system is traditionally expected to compensate for the lack of all-wheel drive.

In the Chinese market, the crossover's engine lineup will include petrol engines with 165 and 200 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Over time, the C5 Aircross will receive a 300-horsepower hybrid version, the Plug-In Hybrid PHEV e-AWD.
