A special drift function that can send up to 100% of torque to the rear axle should compensate for the absence of a rear-wheel-drive version. However, the drift mode will only be available for the top version E 63 S 4Matic+.

Externally, the "E" from AMG can be recognized by a different radiator grille, more aggressive bumpers, as well as black side mirrors and a small spoiler.

Under the hood of the sports sedan is a four-liter bi-turbo V8 engine capable of producing 563 and 603 hp depending on the "charged" version. The engine can deactivate half of the cylinders and consumes an average of 8.9 liters per 100 km. Regardless of the modification, the model is equipped with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift transmission with two clutches.

Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 3.4 seconds for the "regular" version, and 3.3 seconds for the S variant. The top speed is limited to 300 km/h (with the AMG Driver's package).

The official presentation of the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 will take place in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
