Nevertheless, there is also information that the car will be available on the European market. The VW Polo Cross is predicted to be its competitor.

When creating the car, Hyundai followed a well-trodden path, equipping the vehicle with increased ground clearance and plastic body cladding, thus resulting in an "SUV." In quotes, because with 190 mm of ground clearance, there is no point in going anywhere further than a well-packed dirt road, but the protective moldings on the front and rear bumpers, fenders, and sills will be useful in the city as well.
And again, despite hints at off-road capabilities, the i20 Active will be offered exclusively in front-wheel drive.

Under the hood of the new product is a small 1.4-liter diesel engine producing 89 hp and 220 newton-meters of torque. For those who prefer gasoline, there is also a version of this power unit with a volume of 1.2 liters, developing a modest 82 horsepower and 114 newton-meters of torque. There is no provision for equipping the car with an automatic transmission. For the diesel, a 6-speed manual gearbox will be installed, and for the gasoline, a 5-speed one. Fuel consumption is more than moderate: the diesel version consumes an average of 4.7 liters per 100 km, and the gasoline one – 5.8 liters.
