Hyundai Ioniq 5 N: 650 hp available for 10 seconds

The maximum 650 hp and 770 Nm of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N are produced after activating N Grin Boost. The mode boosts the electric motors' output for 10 seconds. Without it, the powertrain develops 609 hp and 740 Nm.

With the power boost function, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, without it in 3.5 seconds. The top speed is 260 km/h. These specifications are given in the official Hyundai technical description.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is equipped with an 84 kWh battery. The stated range in the combined WLTP cycle is 448 km. Under appropriate conditions at a powerful high-speed charging station, charging from 10% to 80% takes 18 minutes.

One of the features of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is the N e-Shift system. It reproduces the operation of an eight-speed robotic gearbox: it changes the electric motors' torque and imitates jolts during shifts.

The N Active Sound+ system in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N complements these sensations with artificial sound. The driver can choose an imitation of a gasoline engine and exhaust or futuristic sound modes.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N became the first production fully electric car of the N sports division. The model also received electronically controlled dampers and settings for torque distribution between the axles.
