This powerful mud-slinger is equipped by the Germans with a bi-turbo V8 engine with a displacement of 4.0 liters from the AMG GT and C63 AMG models, producing 416 hp. To transfer this power to the wheels, a 7-speed automatic transmission 7G-TRONIC is used.
To improve off-road qualities, the approach/departure angles were increased; their figures speak volumes to specialists, 52 and 54 degrees respectively.

The suspension of the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² has two shock absorbers per wheel (one regular, the other with electronic control) and a ground clearance of 45 cm. This is a very large figure; only tractors can boast such an indicator. This clearance was achieved through the use of portal axles borrowed from the G63 AMG 6x6. The G500 4x4² can ford a depth of a full meter, as they say, on the fly. Well, the permanent all-wheel drive system and three differential locks are here by default.
