The official presentation of the model took place at a special event in Prague. The car will be presented to the general public in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

As for the exterior, it has noticeably freshened up. The company calls it "revolutionary." In principle, that is partly true. The car has become completely different – not so conservative and definitely stylish.

The interior of the new model has received a number of innovations. For example, in the cabin, Skoda installed a stand and a special compartment for storing a tablet, an LED flashlight, a 230-volt outlet, and a USB port. Two umbrellas are located in the front doors. The trunk volume has increased by 30 liters – to 625 liters.

The engine lineup consists of eight economical units. Five of them are petrol engines with power ranging from 125 to 280 horsepower. The rest are diesels with 120, 150, and 190 hp. They are paired with a 6-speed manual or a DSG "robot" with two clutches. In some trim levels, the car will be offered with all-wheel drive.

Optionally, the liftback has acquired an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SmartGate apps that display vehicle data on a gadget, as well as high-speed 4G LTE internet.

In addition, the model is equipped with three-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, parking assistance and driver fatigue detection systems, an autonomous pre-heating function, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, tire pressure monitoring, and traffic sign recognition.

The new Superb can be ordered as early as this summer, and it will go on sale in early to mid-autumn.
