Whether this is actually the case, we have yet to find out, but for now we can note that the Discovery Sport marked the beginning of a new Discovery family. A novelty for the British car was the 5+2 seating formula, which engineers managed to fit into the compact dimensions of a small crossover.
The developers placed the main emphasis on improvement. Additionally, the task was set to achieve a harmonious combination with premium design. And it seems they achieved their goal. There will surely be many brand enthusiasts who will not remain indifferent to the dynamic design of the Discovery Sport.
Thanks to the approach, departure, and ramp angles of 25, 31, and 21 degrees, respectively, and the ability to ford water up to 600 mm, the Discovery Sport can be considered a full-fledged off-road vehicle.
Initially, the Discovery Sport will be available with a range of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines and diesel units. Later, the economical ED4 turbodiesel will be added to the powertrain lineup. The engines can be paired with either a 9-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission. Drive can be either front or all-wheel drive. However, only all-wheel-drive versions are likely to be supplied to Ukraine.
