The Verkhovna Rada did not support the draft resolution of people's deputy Dmytro Svyatash, who proposed to cancel the voting results on reducing excise rates on used cars. In this regard, the speaker Andriy Parubiy signed the relevant law right during the session.
According to him, the rejection of Svyatash's document means that the parliament no longer blocks the entry into force of this law. It is about reducing excise duties on the import of used cars from the European Union countries into Ukraine.
The most significant reduction will affect vehicles with an engine capacity from 1 to 1.5 liters. For them, the excise tax is planned to be fixed at 0.063 euros per cubic centimeter, while currently this figure is 1.761 euros. Thus, the rate is reduced almost 28 times.
