According to Bloomberg, due to the difficult times that Volkswagen is going through, the company's management decided to put the Ducati motorcycle brand up for auction.

The legend in the world of motorcycles came under the ownership of the Volkswagen Group in 2012. Back then, the Italian brand was bought for 860 million euros on the personal initiative of the then head of Volkswagen, Ferdinand Piëch, who had a weakness for Ducati motorcycles.

Now, the concern's chief executive officer Matthias Müller and his entourage are thinking about selling some brands, which, in addition to Ducati, may include the truck divisions MAN Diesel & Turbo and MAN Renk.
