In addition to the return of mandatory technical inspection and updated requirements for the installation of gas cylinder equipment, the document contains other interesting points, including those concerning car tires.

In particular, the draft law prohibits driving on roads with hard asphalt surfaces in vehicles equipped with studded tires. An exception is made only for those routes that local authorities will determine separately, taking into account climatic and road conditions, when traffic safety cannot be ensured by other anti-skid means.

In European countries where a similar ban on studs is in effect, an exception was made for the Finnish company Nokian, whose studs were recognized as safe for the road surface. It is curious whether the Ukrainian authorities will follow the same path? Most likely, studs will simply be declared the main culprit in the destruction of domestic roads...

Special attention should also be paid to the Cabinet's proposal to allow the use of worn winter (!) tires in the summer season. If they are devoid of studs and the tread depth does not exceed 3 mm, such rubber is considered suitable for summer use. And why not then also allow racing "slicks"? Although it is worth noting that the project still prohibits driving on summer tires in winter. But here a question arises: the document states that tires must be changed no later than 20 days after the end of the season. Only how exactly to determine this moment?
