A total of 32 models competed for the title of best car. As noted by L’Argus, the Sandero has remained popular for many years not only in France but throughout Europe (since its debut in 2008, it has sold 2.3 million units, a third of which were sold on the domestic market), and with the change of generations it has reached a new level: it received a new, more modern design, more efficient and economical engines, more interior space, and richer equipment. And this is despite the fact that the new model costs the same as its predecessors. It is these advantages that ensured the Sandero's victory in the competition.

In addition to the "Car of the Year 2021" award from L'Argus magazine, the Sandero has also won several other titles, including "Car of the Year according to Whatcar?" in the UK and "Car of the Year in Romania."

It is worth noting that the new, third-generation Sandero was presented last autumn. Traditionally, the hatchback underwent a generational change together with its closest brother, the Logan sedan. So far, both models have only debuted under the Dacia brand; later they are expected to be shown under the parent brand Renault.
