Volodymyr Butko reported that negotiations have already been held with Chinese manufacturers that hold leading positions in the production of electric buses. The talk is about a potential partnership, within the framework of which a joint production of such vehicles could be organized on the basis of the Chernihiv Automobile Plant. The Ukrainian side could be responsible for the production of the body, and the Chinese colleagues — for the supply of the technical "filling".
In addition, the "Etalon" corporation plans to pay special attention to the development of electric transport in 2022. Its lineup already includes two models of trolleybuses capable of moving without a contact network for a distance of 5 and 20 kilometers. With these vehicles, "Etalon" intends to participate in tenders for the supply of equipment for Ukrainian cities.
Furthermore, in 2022, "Etalon" will offer cities its own tram model TR3100, whose tests were successfully completed last year. According to estimates, Ukrainian cities need about 1,300 new tram cars.
As AUTO-Consulting reminds, their own versions of electric buses have already been presented by such domestic companies as Lviv's "Electron" and "Bogdan Motors" from Lutsk. There were also plans to assemble Chinese Granton electric buses.
