Imported electric vehicles from abroad remain the main source of growth for Ukraine's electric car fleet — they accounted for 53.3% of all BEV registrations in the month. This is more than new sales and domestic market deals combined. In June, 4,699 used electric cars were brought from abroad.

Traditionally, Tesla was the most ordered — for many, this brand is still synonymous with electric transport. Nissan kept second place, mainly thanks to the Leaf model, which attracts with its affordable price. Third place goes to Kia, which is steadily strengthening its position.

Hyundai, Volkswagen, Audi, as well as Chevrolet with the Bolt model, are also holding their ground. A significant portion of such cars come from the USA, which shapes the specifics of our market.

Among specific models, Tesla Model Y and Model 3 were most often registered — together they exceeded a thousand registrations. The Nissan Leaf is gradually losing some of its audience but still remains the most popular among budget electric cars. In the mid-price range, interest in the Kia Niro, Hyundai Kona, and Ioniq is growing. The Bolt EV could show better results if not for the high cost of maintenance. European models, including the VW e-Golf and Renault ZOE, are slowly winning back their segments. Notably, the average age of electric cars imported in June was only 5 years — the lowest among all market categories.

Domestic resales of electric vehicles in June accounted for 30.9% of all BEV transactions, with a total of 2,721 such operations. Teslas change owners most often, effectively becoming a kind of currency equivalent in this market. Next comes Nissan with the Leaf, followed by Volkswagen, Hyundai, Renault, as well as premium Audi and BMW. Kia and Chevrolet, which offer a balanced combination of price and features, also remain in demand.

The lion's share of resales, as always, falls on the Nissan Leaf, as well as the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. The secondary segment of electric vehicles continues to be the youngest — the average age of cars that changed owners in June was 6 years. This is significantly less than the average for the used car market, which is currently approaching 16 years.
