As Bloomberg reports, the fall in oil prices has become a tangible blow to the Russian state budget. Moscow is losing the financial reserve that previously allowed it to finance military actions against Ukraine.
The reduction in profits from oil sales abroad is a significant problem for the aggressor. "Black gold" served as one of the key sources of filling the treasury for the needs of the Russian army. Now that oil has to be sold at a discount and access to markets is becoming more difficult, increasing military spending is becoming increasingly challenging.
For Ukrainians, this situation is positive for several reasons. The cheaper oil on the global market may also affect fuel prices in Ukraine. According to experts, gasoline and diesel could become cheaper by about 3 hryvnias per liter. Moreover, this can be expected in the near future.
