For the basis of the study, the British took the costs of purchase, use and maintenance (fuel, insurance, maintenance) for two models – Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Corolla. After that, the resulting figures were compared with the average income in each country. However, data was collected not from around the world, but from 40 countries.
