A historic event took place at the Speed Week 2021 festival, which is currently underway on the dried-up salt lake Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, USA. The victory was achieved in class "A" Omega – Malik and the Dnepr bike posted a result of 107.217 mph (172.549 km/h).

A few words about the machine itself. The electric motorcycle Delfast Dnepr Electric (its full name) was created specifically for the Bonneville competition, developed by the Ukrainian company Delfast Bikes, which specializes in the development and mass production of electric bicycles. The "Dnepr" is equipped with a synchronous permanent magnet electric motor EMRAX-228 (manufactured in Slovenia), which continuously delivers 68 hp, and briefly – 136 hp. Maximum torque is 220 Nm. The motor weighs only 12 kg (which is indeed quite light).

Power is supplied via a lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 12 kWh and a voltage of 600V. The bike also received a Ukrainian-made traction inverter DTI-150H (developed, manufactured, and installed by Diada Group) with a frequency of 1000 Hz – it helps the unit spin up to 5500 rpm.

It is worth noting that Serhiy Malik is the founder and president of the Kyiv City Automoto Club (KAMAK), a two-time Master of Sports of the USSR, Master of Sports of Ukraine, and champion of Ukraine in circuit racing. The record at Bonneville became the 40th in the racer's career.
