He shared his vision on his own YouTube channel Frank Stephenson.
It's no secret that cars are actually... not the best option for investment. Cars lose value as soon as they leave the showroom, and the older they get and the higher the mileage, the more the value drops. However, this mainly applies to "everyday" cars. At the same time, there is the so-called ageless classic – these are models that, on the contrary, become objects of hunting for collectors over time and turn into almost works of art. This is, of course, more typical for sports cars and GT coupes. Well, and some cars that turned out to be unusual and didn't last long on the assembly line.
And here is exactly the list of such cars compiled by Frank Stephenson. Now these cars can be bought for small, if not even "ridiculous" money, but in years they could be worth a fortune.
Car as an investment (or cars that won't depreciate)
So, the first car in the ranking is the BMW Z4 Coupe of the E86 generation. This is a wonderful successor to the iconic BMW Z3. Initially it was equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, but later it received tuning from the M division and got a more powerful 3.2-liter unit.

The next model is the Honda S2000. The Japanese roadster could boast excellent design, perfect 50:50 weight distribution, and a high-revving 2.0-liter VTEC engine. The latter offered a specific output of 124 hp per liter, which was the highest among all naturally aspirated production engines of that time. Also, the S2000 was considered one of the first cars with a digital tachometer.
The third car is the Alfa Romeo Brera. The car looked stunning, although it lacked performance.
The French auto industry also attracted Stephenson's attention in the form of the Citroen C6. According to the designer, the sedan can boast a concave rear window and characteristic rear lights – especially from a three-quarter angle. Frank calls the C6 a "budget presidential" car, highly praising its spacious and comfortable interior. The Citroen C6 indeed was the official car of former French presidents, with only about 23,000 units of the model produced.

Another Honda that can be considered an icon of the future is the CR-Z. This model is a modern version of the classic CR-X. According to Stephenson, it's a magnificent car of its time, which is also remembered as one of the world's first hybrids.
Sixth place – Opel Astra OPX VXR. A beautiful German car with excellent characteristics provided by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 276 hp. In the OPX VXR package, its elegant body lines are especially emphasized.
Next comes the Porsche 911 997. The most expensive car on the list. This is the last true Porsche with a naturally aspirated flat engine, power steering, and all the best from the 911. In the 997, Porsche returned to round headlights, abandoning the "fried egg" optics as on the previous 996. This, according to Stephenson, will please Porsche fans.

Finally, Frank mentions a few more models worthy of attention: the first-generation Focus RS, Lotus Elise, fourth-generation Volkswagen Golf R32, BMW 7-Series in the E38 body, and Honda Civic Type R in the EP3 body (based on the seventh-generation Civic hatchback).
