These conclusions are based on statistics of global car production in 2020, prepared by the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA).
According to the report, China currently accounts for a full third of all cars produced on Earth. In 2020, 77,662,582 cars were produced worldwide (-16% compared to the previous year), of which China's share was 25,225,242 cars (-2% compared to 2019).
The rest of the countries are far behind:
• USA: 8,822,399 units (-19%);
• Japan: 8,067,557 units (-17%);
• Germany: 3,742,454 units (-24%);
• South Korea: 3,506,774 units (-11%).
As can be seen, all countries showed a decline in production over the year (the reason being the corona crisis, which led to a drop in sales and the closure of factories for several months), but the numbers are still impressive. Especially in the case of China.

By the way, the rest of the top ten looks like this (we have rounded the exact number of cars produced for convenience):
• India: 3.4 million
• Mexico: 3.18 million
• Spain: 2.26 million
• Brazil: 2 million
• Russia: 1.43 million
• Thailand: 1.42 million
• Canada: 1.37 million
• France: 1.31 million
• Turkey: 1.3 million million
• Czech Republic: 1.15 million
