Experts analyzed data on 660 thousand cars produced from 1981 to 2005 and sold in 2020. It turned out that owners are most satisfied with Japanese cars.
The fact is that the top ten included exclusively Japanese models, seven of which are Toyota. Owners are most satisfied with Toyota Prius, 13.7% of first-generation hybrids remain in the same hands for 15 years or more (with an average market rate of 6.1%).

The top 10 of the iSeeCars rating looks like this:
- Toyota Prius – 13.7% of cars in the same hands for 15 years or more;
- Toyota Highlander – 12.4%;
- Toyota Tacoma – 11.6%;
- Toyota Sienna – 11.5%;
- Toyota Tundra – 11.3%;
- Honda CR-V – 10.7%;
- Honda Pilot – 10.4%;
- Subaru Forester – 9.8%;
- Toyota 4Runner – 9.4%;
- Toyota Sequoia – 9.1%.

Separately, the situation in the crossover and SUV segment was analyzed. Japanese models also prevail there:
- Toyota Highlander – 12.4% of cars in the same hands for 15 years or more;
- Honda CR-V – 10.7%;
- Honda Pilot – 10.4%;
- Subaru Forester – 9.8%;
- Toyota 4Runner – 9.4%;
- Toyota Sequoia – 9.1%;
- Toyota RAV4 – 8.7%;
- Acura MDX – 7.9%;
- Hyundai Tucson – 7.6%;
- Subaru Outback – 6.8%.

But in the sports model segment, the greatest loyalty is to German models, but the leader is the Japanese Mazda MX-5:
- Mazda MX-5 Miata – 7.6% of cars in the same hands for 15 years or more;
- BMW Z4 – 6.7%;
- BMW M5 – 4.9%;
- Chevrolet Corvette – 4.3%;
- Ford GT – 4.2%;
- Audi S4 – 4.1%.
